For Manually Setting Up Reliance 3G/GPRS services on Android phone follow this procedure:
1.) Go to Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names (APN).
For adding new APN setting, select or hit option button of your mobile and select “New APN”, or you may even edit the existing APN by selecting edit.
2.) You need to make changes in some fields by editing access point. Options and its following value have to be filled as follows:
a.) Name: RNET
b.) APN: SMARTNET, If SMARTNET doesn’t work then try “rcomnet.
c.) Authentication type: None
d.) APN type: internet
3.) Don’t add anything to the fields Proxy, Port, Username, Password, Server, MMS Proxy, MMS Port, DNS1, and DNS2. Edit MCC (Mobile Country Code) and MNC (Mobile Network Code) according to your network area and country from below shown table.
Use “rcomnet” for the following circles: Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, J&K, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Mumbai, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu (including Chennai), UP(E), UP(W)
Use “smartnet” for the following circles: Assam, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Kolkata, Madhya Pradesh, North-East, Orissa, and West Bengal
