Requirement to Enable Google Assistant on devices Running Android Nougat

  • Android 7.0 or higher
  • SuperSU or kernel with dm-verity disabled
  • Latest Google app (6.5.35.21 or newer)

How to Enable Google Assistant on Android Nougat

1) Note, the above requirements should be there in your phone i.e. latest Google app, latest android version etc. First read that carefully.

2) Now, Download and Install ‘BuildProp Editor’ from Play store and open it.

3) After that take backup of your build.prop and click on edit button to edit the file.

4) Then Add or Replace the below line to your device’s build.prop:

  • product.model=Pixel XL
  • opa.eligible_device=true

5) Apply the changes to the build.prop and reboot your device and you are done with it.

6)  If you don’t know about build.prop then you can simply flash this file from TWRP to Enable Google Assistant on Android Nougat.

7) If Google Assistant won’t work then clear Google App data by –

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Google app.
  • Select Storage and tap Clear Cache.

To Enable Google Assistant on Android Marshmallow

1) The requirements given to you above should be there in your phone i.e. latest Google app, latest android version etc. First read that carefully.

2) Make sure that your Android Marshmallow is rooted with TWRP recovery and Xposed Framework installed.

3) Download “N-ify Xposed” Module and install it on your device. Bring Android N, in your mobile.

4) Activate the above module and Reboot your device.

5) Now download the latest version of Google app.

6) Clear Google App data by –

  • Go to Settings -> Apps -> Google app
  • Select Storage and tap Clear Cache

7) Now open the Google app and you can use Google Assistant on Android Marshmallow.
