BSNL Starts 4G Services
A telecommunication company, BSNL Starts 4G Services in Chandigarh on 13th January 2016 with the broadband speed of up to 100 megabit per second (Mbps). N.K Gupta, director of the company said that “It is soft launch of 4G services in Chandigarh is special for us and providing data services at high-speed is excellent for the growth of company. Bharat Shanchar Nigam Limited Company is the first company who starts 4G service in 2500 Mhz band. Across India, BSNL has 4G ranges except in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Kolkata and Tamil Nadu.
Company has running concept and now they have decided to increase it. Anupam Shrivastava, a Company CMD said that the company may tie up with other telecommunication companies to launch its 4G services. Company has decided that in next month, they will issue request for proposal for launching 4G services across circles and on basis of revenue share, company have 2500 Mhz spectrum.
CMD of the company said that technical issues between 2 networks are pending which will sorted soon. When these issues will sort out they take give it the name of final agreement with Reliance Jio very soon. BSNL Company had limited range for offering 4G services and it required minimum 5 MHz to offer complete 4G services to its customers.

Anupam Shrivastava, CMD of company said that for providing 4G services to its customers, the company will look at wifi hotspot. He also said that at present, company has recognized 620 wifi hotspots and by the ending of this financial year, they will complete 500 wifi hotspots and by the end of next fiscal, company will take the total number to 40000. All these things will be based on the revenue share and capital expenditure model.
After about 4 years of losses, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited operate profit of Rs. 672 crore for the financial year 2014-15 as compared to loss of Rs. 691 crore in earlier fiscal.
